Breaking it all
"Take that!" the water shivered violently, as if shocked when a paw smashed through the surface, its owner smirking loftily as he peered down. Fish darted frantically back and forth along the coast, before coming to their senses and fleeing to the vast expanse of ocean. Zeliesh huffed, leaning on his side while letting his muzzle drop to the ground, grains of sand sticking to his nose. Absently he smeared them off with a paw, eyes still focused on the sea. The fish had grown wiser; they no longer twirled between the young lion's feet. Consequently, that left him with nothing interesting to do. Not that frightening fish was interesting, oh no. Of course not.

Off in the distance, on the isolated island resting in the middle of the sea, wolves and lions alike dashed on the edge the beach, kicking up sand and droplets as they went. Zeliesh raised his head, perking up his ears, squinting against the sunlight. Hmph, all the entertainment happens there, on that piece of floating land. A place I can't reach! He jerked himself into a standing position, glaring at the smudged appearance of the island critically, tail swishing in sure irritation. These paws had never treaded water for more than a few seconds, never felt like they were floating endlessly, without gravity. That fact never, and would never, bother him, it was the fact that the sparkling glass wetting his paws at this very moment was a boundary. Boundaries hadn't ever sat well with Zeliesh. He'd inevitably broken each and every one.

The lion pushed his paw through the shallows again, wincing as he felt the sand well uncomfortably between his toes. He lifted his foot , and the water refilled the dent caused by the lion's foot. Like it was never there. This boundary was self-healing, self-sustaining. You could not slay water, that’s why it covered over half the world. Zeliesh gazed out toward the island for another moment, then looked behind him, saw the rolling plains, the trees. The grass was trampled, the tree trunks were scarred with claw marks, etched deep into their bark. Blinking, he turned his focus on the ocean once more, staring below into the eyes of himself. The reflection smirked. It would be broken nonetheless.
