Outwardly, Zeliesh displays himself as the excited, go-lucky lion, usually darting through tall grass or skidding on the ocean waves lapping on the shore. He'll also plop right down to perfect strangers should they look comfortable enough, and help himself to a nap. Basically he is friendly. To some it's sweet, and they accept the little snuggler. Being accepted is met with great joy from this little guy, and he will become clingy of that particular indiviual. Others find it annoying and will storm away, much to Zeli's apathy. To him it doesn't matter what others think; he focuses on his own feelings unless regarding his closest friends. Only then will his feelings take a hit. You may see him with his head buried in his paws when he's majorly upset. Otherwise, he's not very easy to offend, shaking things off and bouncing right back into that playful attitude.
Zeli also never lost that small child-like attitude he was infamous for back in the tribe. If you recall, he was rather fond of teasing others. Romancing couples are common targets now a' days, and Zeliesh will plop between the pair, trying his utter best to embarrass them to the point of being sunburnt. He also messes with his friends, and females he's taken a liking to. (Yes, he does develop small crushes from time to time! Good news for you ladies. ;3) Banter between him and his friends is also enjoyable, to the point where Zeliesh will try to get underneath their skin simply to get into a half-hearted insult war. This habit can get him into trouble, from which his mentor Valeric has to twist him out of.
He's not entirely insensitive to others' feelings, he's actually quite sympathetic when the moment calls for it, and will attempt to dissolved the awkwardness or despair with silly comments. If that fails, he'll stick to their side, never letting them be alone. He will serve as their candle in their time of darkness, never flickering, never wavering.
At times Zeli will want to be taken seriously, other times he'll just want everyone else to lay back and have a good laugh about either something he said, or himself. If someone else does something amusing, he'll laugh, but mind you, he really prefers to be the center of attention. When he's being serious, Zeli will not appreciate jokes or sarcasm in conversations. Those who try that sort of thing should be ready to be faced with glares and glowers, to fend off angry insults.
